My personal solid state stereo amp reference will permanently reside in my main stereo system after a lifetime of tube amps.
The S5.5 is a high-bandwidth, pure Class A stereo amplifier. External control allows the S5.5 to be bridged into a high-power monoblock. Internal relay switching provides distortion-free selection of balanced or unbalanced inputs. Input switching and true-standby bias toggle are controllable either from the front panel or optional remote control.
“The world class build quality of Coda amplifiers is on display with the S5.5, along with the most beautiful purity of tonality, precise sound-staging, complete liquidity offered by pure class A design, and what might be the best top end regarding details, decays, and a natural shimmering without brightness or any edge at all.” Terry London, Stereo Times, Audiogon Forum Thread, March 2024. “I will be purchasing the S5.5 because of its unique qualities and consider this amplifier a bargain for its asking price compared to what it delivers in its performance.” Terry London, Stereo Times review, May 2024. Click Here for Complete Review
